Wynda Sykes admits to being gay, and discusses her support against proposition 8.
"You know, I don't really talk about my sexual orientation. I didn't feel like I had to. I was just living my life, not necessarily in the closet, but I was living my life," said Wynda at a rally in Los Angeles protecting proposition 8 which prohibits gay marriage.
"Everybody that knows me personally they know I'm gay. But that's the way people should be able to live their lives," she said before noting that she married her partner in late October.

J. Period Scores Tony Hawk Game
DJ. Period has hosted mixtapes and done movie trailers, however, now he has landed a deal with Activision to score Tony Hawk's new game Tony Hawk's Motion.
"I am thrilled to be part of the Tony Hawk’s Motion project,” said J. Period. “I was truly honored to be given the responsibility of crafting the entire soundtrack for game play—exclusive tracks.“
Activision gave a statement concerning their new deal with J. Period.
"J. Period has meticulously crafted an incredible collection of exclusive and original tracks that capture the essence of the Tony Hawk experience,” said Tim Riley, Vice President of Music Affairs at Activision, Inc.

During an interview with Rasphody.com T-Pain discusses how he never created his synthesized style of singing.
"I brought it back. I didn't start it," T-Pain explained to Rhapsody. "I didn't invent the damn thing. People think that I feel that way when I say that I should get respect or recognition for bringing it back."

The Notorious B.U.M. aka J. Slash has been spotted on Youtube again. This time Slash was filmed in a neighborhood performing his popular hit "Kick It On the Floor". The camera man gave Slash the cue to rap, then he started rhyming with so much charisma and intensity.
The Notorius B.U.M. who is known for beatboxing and rapping at the same time, followed up his original performance at a Wendy's restaurant with more spin moves and parts of his lyrics were remixed.

Def Jam and Katrina Give Back to High School
Def Jam has joined with New Rochelle High School in New York to bring thing the annual New Roc Rhapsody fundraiser.
The concert will be headlined by 17 year old Def Jam artist Karina Pasian. Pasian is Quincy Jones goddaughter and she's become popular with her song "16 @war" which discusses issues young women deal with in society.
The fundraiser will help support the three-time football team which has endured severe financial losses.

T.I. Expected To Testify In Murder Trial
According to Local 12 WKRC-TV T.I. is expected to testify in court for the May 2006 murder of his assistant Philant Johnson.
Johnson was allegedly murdered two years ago by Hosea Thomas, after a fight occurred at Roselawn club. Thomas and his brother are accussed of opening fire on T.I.'s van, injuring four people and killing Johnson.
On November 17 the jury was selected, and on November 18 the opening arguments took place.

Jeezy Volunteers at Dallas Kitchen
Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy volunteered at the Tommie M. Allen Recreation Community Center in Dallas Texas, yesterday. Jeezy helped serve food to the less fortunate. The event was sponsored and hosted by radio station K 104.5.
This isn't the Def Jam artists first time giving back to the community this year. Jeezy has helped support President Barack Obama, and with the Back to School giveway.

Plies Declared Future of Rap by Vibe Magazine
Florida rapper Plies has been dubbed the future of rap, in the upcoming December edition of Vibe magazine. Plies has released two albums, The Real Testament of Real, and Definition of Real within a year apart from each other. Next month he will release his third album Da Realist in December.
"I want to be everything a street nigga ain't supposed to be," Plies told VIBE's Benjamin Meadows-Ingram in the interview. "A street nigga ain't supposed to be professional. A successful street nigga ain't supposed to be humble, they're supposed to shit on everybody. A true street nigga, he ain't supposed to be a responsible father--the street's is all he's supposed to be focused on. A street nigga ain't supposed to be educated. Everything that a true street nigga ain't supposed to be, that's what I want to be."
Da Realiest will be released on December 18.

Lil Wayne has quite an impressive number of mixtapes he's released, however, many fans have had their doubts about the recent quality of his work. However, Dj Drama stands behind the emcee and promises their upcoming mixtape Dedication 3 will be worth it.
"People have their opinions or their comments, but Wayne putting out a mixtape shows he's still in the game," Drama told MTV this week. "[This mixtape] isn't for the money or the fame, it's for the people. It's for the game. You can hate on Drama or Wayne all you want, but we're doing this for the game."

50 Cent Pushes Album Back
Though 50 cent has previously stated his new album Before I Self Destruct was already finished, he has pushed his December release until 2009. "Times are hard," stated 50 Cent, according to Interscope Records. "Everyone is trying to make the most of what they have. I want to give my fans something extra for their hard earned dollars. They'll get a free bonus when they pick up the album."

Timbaland Is The Executive Producer for New Film
The Virginian native/super producer Timbaland is the executive producer for the upcoming film Vinyl. Timbo has worked with films in the past, including music production for Feel da Noise (2007), XXX: State of The Union (2006), and Shark Tale (2004).
Vinyl is directed and written by Richard Zelniker, and the concept of the film centers around five young women married to members in a band.

Common spoke to Hiphopdx.com, and told the website that will sell his new album for under a dollar. The album entitled Universal Mind Control was push back to the summer of 09 due to "Terminator Salvation" a film the Chicago native was working on.
"I originally was starting this album as an EP which was like a six song collection of songs. It was called Invincible Summer and I wanted to bring it out during the summertime. I did this film Terminator Salvation and I couldn’t finish the album in period I wanted to. I said, 'Man Universal Mind Control is the perfect title for the sound of the music. UMC fits the theme of what the album is about. That sounds like something from back in the days to something futuristic. T-Pain Free Myspace Concert
Recording artist T-Pain will be giving a free Myspace in New York City at the Hiro Ballroom to celebrate his upcoming third album Thr33 Ringz.
His performance will be broadcasted on his Myspace, and is expected to feature a performance by Ludacris.
The concert is open to the general public at 9 p.m. to a crowd of 21 and older. T-Pains new album will feature performances by T.I., Kanye West, Ludacris, T.I., Ciara, and Akon. The album will hit stores this month.

Raekwon: Cuban Linx 2 in 2009
Wu Tang artist Raekwon gurantees his solo album Cuban Linx II will drop March 2009. The desire to release the album escalated when he signed a deal with Aftermath Entertainment in 2006, but the union failed to produce any new music.
A week ago Raekwon told HipHopOfficial.com he still intends on releasing the album. "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 is coming out in March of '09," Raekwon said. "I'm taking my time, and I'm doing this for the people, not for me."
Raekwon has not released a studio album in five years.

According to TMZ.com, Suge Knight is suing Kanye West over an incident in 2005. In the suit, Knight accused Kanye for allowing an armed individual sneak into the pre MTV/VMAs party in 2005.
Suge was shot in the right knee by the gunmen, which shattered Knights bone in his leg. Knight complains that he had undergone months of physical therapy and pain and suffering, which included a jet that flew him from Miami to Los Angeles. The suit also claims that he lost a $135,000 15 carat earing due to the incident, which was the cause of his pain and suffering.
Knight was the former owner of Death Row Records.
